Let's Talk- Our founders were researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, where they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone.
- They met while working on Google Translate at Google and decided to build a company with the mission of making the world’s information available to everyone in their preferred language.

At the time, machine translation didn’t meet the quality standard for enterprise translation, so LILT assembled an AI research team tasked with closing that gap. Projects must be marked as completed and delivered to the customer to be included within a pay period. Once you have completed a document and marked it as complete, we will review it to ensure there are no pending queries, corrections, or actions that need to be completed. Provided there are no pending queries, corrections, or actions that need to be completed, Production Managers approve your work and deliver it to the customer. If there are any pending queries, corrections, or actions that need to be completed, you agree to make all necessary changes or corrections at no additional cost to LILT, and payment will move to the next pay period when the project is delivered to the customer.

Go to the Payment Details tab in the left menu and navigate to the page on which you want to update your information.
We pay our experts by the hour of work completed - this hourly rate is agreed during onboarding. You will receive a paystub with a work summary and a payment breakdown at each pay period.
- Translation projects are paid thirty (30) days after completion and delivery to the customer and on a semi-monthly basis.
- AI Data Service Projects are paid fifteen (15) days after completion and delivery to the customer and on a semi-monthly basis.
LILT issues all payments via Tipalti. You must complete the self-registration process in Tipalti’s Registration Hub. You can set up Tipalti to send you payments directly to your own bank account, to an existing Payoneer account, or to other payment methods.
- The first step is to complete the appropriate application (link to inbuilt application form)
- Next is to take and pass a test in the area you wish to participate in
- Upon passing the test and agreeing to the Independent Contractor Agreement, you will be onboarded to LILT and ready to take on projects!
- Translators and Reviewers:
- A language degree
- A non-language degree, +2 years of full-time translation experience
- No degree, +5 years of full-time translation experience
- Subject matter expertise in the relevant field
- AI Data Experts:
- Generalists: Undergraduate / Master's or comparable experience
- Experts: Master's / PhD or comparable experience
- Skills:
- Complete fluency in native language and potentially other languages: Ability to work with the specific languages required by the project.
- Understanding of various AI models and their capabilities.
- Experience in evaluating and comparing content from different sources
- Research skills to evaluate content accuracy and identify trustworthy sources.
- Analytical skills, Critical thinking skills, and attention to detail to review content for grammar, style, and adherence to ethical/legal standards.
- Red Team Experts: Masters / PhD or comparable experience
