We recently hosted a Demo Day webinar titled "From Words to Worldwide: How AI Translation Supercharges Global Growth," offering attendees an in-depth look at our AI-powered translation platform. Presented by Allison Yarborough, our VP of Growth, and Laura Gilbert, Manager of Solutions Architecture, this demo showcased how enterprises can leverage contextual AI to scale their global content operations efficiently.

LILT's core mission centers on making every product and service accessible to everyone, regardless of the language they speak or where they're from. The platform focuses specifically on enabling scalable translation for the world's largest organizations, operating on the premise that these enterprises control significant portions of global information. By empowering these organizations to make their content accessible in every language, LILT aims to democratize information access worldwide.
The webinar emphasized a critical insight: while 49.2% of web content exists in English, the majority of the global population speaks other languages. This gap represents both a challenge and an opportunity for businesses looking to expand their global reach. What makes LILT's approach particularly compelling is that translation represents a mature AI use case with low change management requirements, existing budget allocations, and proven enterprise readiness. The platform can be activated in 30 to 60 days depending on business complexity, making it significantly faster to implement than many other AI initiatives.

The LILT demo revealed that LILT's platform fundamentally differs from consumer AI translation tools like ChatGPT or Google Translate by combining the best of human expertise with AI efficiency. While AI-only approaches work well for consumer use cases, enterprise translation requires solving for business complexity across multiple systems, file types, channels, and models.
LILT's hybrid approach pairs human linguists with contextual AI models that learn and improve in real-time. As human translators work within the platform, they provide business context through glossaries, term bases, historical translations, and style guides. This human input continuously trains custom AI models specifically fine-tuned for each company's unique business context. The result is a system that delivers AI efficiency, consistency, and scale while maintaining the quality guarantee that only human expertise can provide.
The platform's contextual AI engine uses in-context learning to achieve higher accuracy than general-purpose models like GPT-4 and Google Translate for enterprise-specific contexts. With five times more parameters than previous LILT models, these purpose-built translation engines can create unlimited custom model libraries tailored to specific use cases. For example, a company launching in France could maintain separate models for website content, customer support, and legal documentation.
Platform Demonstration: Connected Workflows in Action
Laura Gilbert's live LILT demo began with the LILT dashboard, the central hub where customers manage their entire translation production workflow.
The Translate Content section serves as the primary workspace where translation workflows are managed and AI models are fine-tuned in real time. Users can create translation requests directly within the platform, supporting multiple content types including text documents, PDFs, videos, images, and more. A PDF-to-PDF workflow addresses a common pain point for marketing teams who need to localize PDF files without access to source files. The platform can translate these while retaining all original formatting.
The Connect Systems module showcases LILT's extensive integration capabilities, which process over 80% of the platform's content through connected workflows. The demo highlighted integrations with popular enterprise systems including Webflow, Figma, GitHub, Contentful, and Shopify. These connectors enable seamless content routing from source systems through translation and back, maintaining consistency across all customer touchpoints.
During the live demonstration, Gilbert showed a Webflow integration in action. Starting with untranslated Spanish content in Webflow, she used LILT's app-based connector to route the content through an instant translation workflow. Within minutes, the translated content populated back into Webflow, ready for the publishing lifecycle. The platform retained all formatting automatically, a critical requirement for marketing teams working with designed content.
The demo also revealed LILT's connector builder, which allows customers to create custom integrations within the app for systems not covered by the 60+ existing connectors. For more complex integrations like Contentful, LILT provides expert support to guide customers through the setup process.
Advanced Features: Domains, Analytics, and AI Agents
One of the most powerful capabilities shown in the LILT demo was the domain separation feature, which allows organizations to maintain separate AI models for different content streams and target audiences. As Gilbert explained, legal content should route through a dedicated model, while marketing content uses a separate model optimized for brand voice and creative language. This prevents cross-contamination between technical and creative content types, ensuring each model learns appropriate patterns for its specific use case.
The platform's analytics dashboard provides transparency into translation program health and AI model performance. A key metric displayed is word prediction accuracy, which measures how accurately the AI model predicts the next word as a human translator would. In the demo, an English-to-Spanish model showed exceptional performance over six months, providing data-driven justification for routing certain content streams through AI-only workflows. This analytics-driven approach helps enterprises make informed decisions about which content requires human verification versus instant AI translation.
The most exciting part of the demo included a sneak peek intoan AI Review Agent that acts as an independent AI editor, proactively correcting errors in both AI and human translations before they reach human reviewers. This agent can be customized with additional prompts specifying target audience, whether puns are allowed, how to handle currency conversions, and other brand-specific requirements. The system delivers over 99% accuracy while saving 3 to 4 hours of review time per 10,000 words. All changes made by reviewers immediately feed back to train the AI models and provide feedback to linguists, closing the feedback loop that many enterprises struggle with.
