Protecting your information is a responsibility we take very seriously. Our employees are trained on the importance of security, and are committed to safeguarding your information.

Data Privacy

Data privacy

Your data is private to your Lilt account. It is never shared with other accounts and/or users. Lilt does not use or allow the use of your translation data for its or any third party's own purposes, including marketing purposes, without your consent.

Encryption

Your data is always protected with state-of-the-art encryption. Your translation data is SSL-encrypted in transit between your computer and our servers, and is encrypted via AES-256 encryption in our database.

Data backup

We regularly back up your data and provide a maximum 24-hour RTO and RPO.

Data ownership

Your data is never shared across customers, and we don’t mine or access it for any self-serving purpose.

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed industry certification. LILT's CE certification indicates that we implement user controls and train LILT employees to protect against common user-based cyber attacks and mitigate risks from Internet-based threats.

SOC 2®

LILT's SOC 2 audit was conducted by leading compliance assessor A-LIGN, a technology-enabled security and compliance partner. SOC 2 reports affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures and operations have been formally reviewed.

ISO 9001

Our translation, localization and interpretation processes and business operations have been independently audited by ATC Certification and certified to conform to the requirements of ISO standard ISO 9001, where applicable.

LILT uses Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for computing infrastructure. LILT provides its services in compliance with GCP's Terms of Use, including, but not limited to, the security provisions and the data storage, transfer, and processing provisions set forth in those Terms.
